To the LGBT community,

Please be advised that images of genocide and ethnic cleansing of the lesbian and bisexual women's population have been declassified by United States Attorney General, the Honorable Ms. Loretta Lynch.

The images declassified feature forensic evidence pertaining to lesbian genocide committed by the Central Intelligence Agency or CIA of The United States. These specific homicides occurred between 1990 - 2015, however the policy of ethnic cleaning by the CIA targeting lesbians in fact dates back to the 1940s and World War II.

A list of convicted death row perpetrators is included in the posted community notice, as well. See link below.

Untitled

Warning: THE PHOTO ALBUM LINKED WITHIN THE FOLLOWING COMMUNITY NOTICE CONTAINS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC CONTENT OF FORENSIC EVIDENCE FROM ONGOING HOMICIDE INVESTIGATIONS. PLEASE BE ADVISED.

DO NOT VIEW THE PHOTO ALBUM IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED. THE CONTENT IS SICKENING.

Full details, including declassified images can be found here:

The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition is pleased to announce the release of its 2008 GENIUS Survey in partnership with Ernst & Young. GenderPAC works to ensure that classrooms, communities and workplaces are safe for everyone to learn, grow and succeed.

The Gender Equality National Index for Universities & Schools (GENIUS), GenderPAC’s most recent effort to end discrimination and promote awareness, encourages colleges and universities to recognize the benefits of a GenderSAFE campus - supportive equitable and protective for all students. Choosing to participate in GENUIS sends a strong public statement that bullying or discriminating based on the race, sex or gender of a student, faculty, or staff member is not tolerated at your institution

Fill out the survey at: www.gpac.org/GENIUS2008survey, and make sure that we have data for as many schools as possible. Your voice will help us continue to work towards a safe and welcoming environment for every student

Hi Everyone!

I know I posted a few months back with a survey on hormones and crying. You all did such an amazing job filling out the survey that we are cleared to do a longer more extensive one. If you would all take the time to fill this one out it’d be great help to us.

It will take about five minutes and will benefit our study in many ways.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

I am a transman and I am working with a graduate student who is collecting some information for a study on how hormones affect emotions.

As transpeople, we have a unique opportunity to help scientists understand the ways that physiology affects behavior, which could eventually help the transcommunity itself.

Will you help us by filling out a short survey? It will take less than three minutes.

Your answers will help us immensely.

Even if you have not started taking any hormones yet, your answers on this survey will help us tremendously.

Because the results of our study depend on the honesty of all participants, we ask you to share as openly and accurately as possible.

The survey can be found HERE

Thank you so very much!

(Please let me know if this post is offensive or not allowed and I’ll delete it promptly.)

Hi everyone,

(For anyone who doesn’t know me, I’m an almost 17 year old out lesbian high school student from Sydney, Australia.)Well, this year I’m in my final year of school in Australia and I’m doing my Higher School Certificate (that’s, um, like the equivalent of the final college exams for you Americans and Brits) and one of my courses is 2 Unit Drama. For this I have to present a 6 – 8 minute Individual Performance and I wish to write a piece based on the life of a pre-op transgendered person (at the moment I’m thinking FtM but that may change) to try and challenge myself and raise awareness and acceptance. For this reason I’m asking anyone who is willing to talk to me about their experiences as a transgendered person (FtM, MtF, post-op, pre-op – it doesn’t matter, any help would be invaluable to me) to help me compose my piece. You can email me at silver_qwerty@hotmail.com. Also, any transgendered people in the Sydney, Australia region who are willing to meet up with me, especially FtM, would be absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much guys.

Subject:Seeking Transgender/Intersex Participants
Posted by:l8ty_velvet.
Time:6:33 pm.
Mood: curious.
I am a student who is doing a project about Transgender issues for one of my social work classes. The subject is in relation to bodies and space. I am going to take a social constructionist approach to looking at the assumptions that are taken for granted about bodies and space, and by doing so, I hope to use the analogy of transgender or intersexed ideas in this project. I am seeking people who would be willing to particiapte in answering a few questions that I can then use in my presentation. I am not sure how people would like to do this, but I will leave the questions here and if you wish to answer them, then that would be great. If you would rather keep it more private and email them to me that is fine as well. (scot1669@wlu.ca)

If you wish to be identified with an alias name, then make sure you make that clear, otherwise I will use your livejournal name. I REALLY apprecaite you helping me with this as I think there is no better way to go about it then to take the words right from those who are transgender or intersexed to use in my project. If you are aware of another community I should cross post this to, then please let me know. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to this post. I take this issue very seriously and I am glad I have found this comunity to share my thoughts with.

My name's Mike and I'm pre-everything. I'm 18 and out to 98% of my friends who are pretty cool about me being transgendered although they still call me by my birth name for the most part. I used to rarely bind, but am begining to do it more often, hopefully daily althought its with ACE bandages. I do not pack, use a STP device, or go into the male restrooms. My father knows, but completly ignores the fact and the rest of my family has no idea.

Here's my questions:

I'm a senior in high school, and in JROTC (I love the program and Idk if me being out would create an issue). Would it be a good move to come out to the highschool so I could graduate under my prefered name? I'm worried about the Staff and Administration reaction, not as much the students.

Also, what can I start under the radar living in my house without my parents knowing this year to get a jump on transistioning??

Does anyone know of some good colleges in TX that are friendly with Transistioning??

Anything else that you all know that could help me out???

Subject: Felicity Huffman Stars in "TransAmerica" Tomorrow Night

ACCLAIMED TRANSGENDER FILM COMES TO GLBT FILM FESTIVAL

(ROYAL OAK) –Reel Pride Michigan GLBT Film Festival is proud and excited to bring "Transamerica" to the Detroit area. The film has been an instant hit at GLBT film festivals across the country.

"Transamerica" explores the life of a transgender woman and how strangers help one another when no else steps up. Reel Pride Michigan GLBT Film Festival features the film on Thursday, October, 27th at 7:00 p.m. at the Main Art Theatre in Royal Oak.

"Transamerica" stars Bree (Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives) who is days away from her sex re-assignment surgery when she learns she has a long-lost son, Toby (Kevin Zegers), in a New York jail. Toby is searching for his biological father “Stanley” and Bree pretending to be a social worker, bails him out of jail. Bree learns Toby’s mother is dead and he’s living a life as a hustler and using drugs.

“We are bringing very high caliber films to the festival and are excited about the response we have been getting," said Sean Kosofsky, Director of Policy for Triangle Foundation. "Film is a terrific medium for bringing people together and telling stories that really impact our lives.”

Don’t miss Huffman’s astounding portrayal of a pre-operative male-to-female transsexual without transgression, or Zegers’ brilliant performance of a tough façade underneath a very confused adolescent exterior.

Transamerica is presented by Ameritax Plus, an accounting and financial planning firm located in downtown Berkley. For more information, to purchase tickets, or to see the festival guide, visit Reel Pride Michigan at Reel Pride Michigan or call 313-537-3323 x107.

Through courage and pride 'we must embrace our own best sense of self.' We have faced, fought and overcome obstacles that many have never faced or tripped on. Yet, We struggle for a sense of self and for a sense of pride... FTM Pride.

This site has a simple mission, helping guys and girls like us to embrace that pride within. Through community outreach and workshop programming we strive for a sense of unity among a community that can easily be 'lost', and forgotten about. We urge transguys, FtM's and MTF's along with gender variants of ALL forms to come out from 'blending' to help their younger siblings walk the path that they so courageously faced themselves. And while we are called FTM Pride, we also take pride in being open to ALL Transgender and Transsexual people and their Significant Others, Friends, Families and Allies.
